Do you meditate?

I have a couple of favourite audio meditations I want to share but first, here’s a couple of books I thought would be fabulous for children (published this month).

I first found out about Glenn Harrold (a long time ago) when he was recommended by a colleague.  Here are a couple of my favourites.

  1. I love the sound of these CDs but I’m very wary of being hypnotised and fear that I’ll be brainwashed! I may just give one a go if it promises to make me feel more relaxed and uplifted. I certainly need something!!

  2. I would love to. I have tried. Many times. But somehow… I don’t know. I don’t seem to be wired right. Relaxation makes me anxious. Meditation propels me to the brink of hysterical laughter. It’s really embarrassing (for me, I mean), and I don’t understand it. I know, it’s *me* and I’m evidently doing something wrong but… I just can’t do it. I’d love to, one day, overcome this strange obstacle in my head but for the time being… I’ll have to remain simply envious. LOL.

    • I know what you mean about the anxiety Nicky. However, with Glenn, you can think about anything, anything at all, but will still feel the effects as it gets under that barrier into the subconscious. You don’t realise how tense you are until the muscles start relaxing and ‘popping’! Must admit it has sent me to sleep a few times and I feel cheated !

      • What helps me relax? Now there’s a question. I don’t really know. I tell you what though, my best distress method is a good old fashioned rock concert. There’s something about singing along at the top of your voice that makes you breathe steadily and deeply and, presumably, releases endorphins, and that’s when I walk away feeling better. As I don’t get to go to a rock concert every day, I have a very powerful stereo. And good headphones!! LOL! xxx

      • I always get very emotional with music. No matter the beat/tempo or topic! As long as you use what works for you Nicky 🙂
