WHEN IT COMES TO EXPLORING HAUNTED CITADELS, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CARRY A WEAPON, TRUST NO ONE AND, MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, REMEMBER THE GOLDEN RULE: LET SLEEPING GODS LIE.

There are some tall stories about the caverns beneath the Citadel – about magic and mages and monsters and gods.

Wydrin of Crosshaven has heard them all, but she’s spent long enough trawling caverns and taverns with her companion Sir Sebastian to learn that there’s no money to be made in chasing rumours.

But then a crippled nobleman with a dead man’s name offers them a job: exploring the Citadel’s darkest depths. It sounds like just another quest with gold and adventure … if they’re lucky, they might even have a tale of their own to tell once it’s over.

These reckless adventurers will soon learn that sometimes there is truth in rumour. Sometimes a story can save your life.

THE THING MEETS LORD OF THE FLIES IN THIS FAST-PACED, ADDICTIVE NOVEL THAT WILL REALLY GET UNDER YOUR SKIN.

He felt something touch his hand. Which is when he looked down.

For the scouts of Troop 52, three days of camping, hiking and survival lessons on Falstaff Island is as close as they’ll get to a proper holiday.

Which was when he saw it.

But when an emaciated figure stumbles into their camp asking for food, the trip takes a horrifying turn. The man is not just hungry, he’s sick. Sick in a way they have never seen before.

Which was when he screamed.

Cut off from the mainland, the troop face a terror far worse than anything they could have made up around a campfire. To survive they will have to fight their fears, the elements … and eventually each other.

  1. My TBR list is ridiculously long, and it’s just got a bit longer as these three books sound excellent. I’m currently reading Lighthouse Bay, as recommended by JJ, and LOVING it 🙂

    • Oh glad you’re loving Lighthouse Bay Alison. I need to squeeze in Wildflower Hill. I just know it will be as good!

      Happy Reading 😀
