Hi! My name is Nicky Wells, and I am the author of Sophie’s Run, Part 2 in the Rock Star Romance Trilogy. A little while ago, Sophie and Dan took a fateful and very romantic trip to Paris. It didn’t quite work out as planned, but they still talk about it even now, two years later. And they certainly both remember it, each in their own way….

Excerpt from Sophie’s Run: Sophie recalls ‘Paris’

I fiddled with my necklace. The necklace. The half-engagement-ring pendant with the beautiful sapphire that Dan had had made for me after I turned down his proposal on the plane back from Paris. He usually wore the other half—a kind of symbolic “we’re not really together, but we’ll always be together” gesture that summed up our friendship perfectly. To me, the pendant had become a good luck charm, and it reassured me now.

Excerpt from Sophie’s Run: Dan, too, remembers ‘Paris’ very clearly….

That was what she had told him in no uncertain terms in Paris. She was right, of course, but that hadn’t stopped him wanting, and regretting. So in secret, and without really being aware of it, he had formulated his cunning grand plan.

Excerpt from Sophie’s Turn:

Suddenly I realized that we were in the Jardin des Tuileries. Far from deserted, it was heaving with people. The big Ferris wheel loomed at the back, every carriage brightly lit up. But in addition, there was some kind of Christmassy funfair going on. There were little stalls selling food, and the scent of crêpes and roasted almonds filled the air with a powerful sweet perfume. There were also stalls selling arts and crafts. And there were proper funfair entertainment contraptions, bumper cars, a small roller-coaster, and a merry-go-round.

“Let’s start with the Ferris wheel,” Dan suggested, eagerly pulling me forward. […]

“Sophie,” Dan eventually shouted.

“What?” I shouted back.

“Sophie, would you marry me?”

See? My Goodness, what fun they’ve had. If you’ve already read Sophie’s Turn, you’ll probably share their wistful memories. Come and join them on the next part of their journey over in Sophie’s Run when you have a moment!
